About the Brampton School of Music

Brampton School of Music has been helping students build confidence, creativity, discipline, and a lifelong love of music for over 30 years. Formerly known as Peel Music Academy, we proudly continue a long-standing tradition of delivering high-quality music education that inspires students of all ages to grow both musically and personally.

Conveniently located at 9886 Torbram Rd., Suite 210 in Brampton, we offer private music lessons in piano,  guitar,  voice,  violin,  ukulele, and drums for children, teens, and adults at every skill level. Whether a student is preparing for performances, building a strong musical foundation, or simply learning for enjoyment, our experienced instructors create personalized lessons that help students stay motivated, make consistent progress, and achieve real results.

At Brampton School of Music, we believe music lessons should do more than teach notes and technique. Our goal is to help students develop self-confidence, focus, creativity, and the satisfaction that comes from accomplishing something meaningful. PIANO LESSONS

Private piano lessons at the Brampton School of Music are for young children through to adults of all ages and levels.  While it is important to learn proper piano technique it is also important for students to have fun in their piano lessons. This is what our university and Royal Conservatory of Music trained piano teachers strive for in every lesson.

GUITAR LESSONS

Our guitar lessons at the Brampton School of Music combine the stability of traditional guitar lessons with the fun of learning what you really want on the guitar. Not only will you learn songs that you love, guitar chords, and rhythms, you can also learn how to read music and guitar theory. This combined approach to music lessons is designed keep you or your children motivated from the very first lesson!

DRUM LESSONS (6+)

Brampton School of Music offers private drum lessons for children age 6 through to adults of all ages.  While it is important to learn proper drum technique it’s also important to have fun in your drum lessons. This is what our professional drum teachers strive for in every lesson. While many students choose to play rock music all of our drum students are given the opportunity to learn a variety of different drum styles from rock to blues, and from funk to jazz as well.

VOICE/VOCAL LESSONS

Brampton School of Music offers voice/singing lessons for ages 7 and up.   Our vocal instructors focus primarily on popular music like pop and R&B, and are comfortable with classical and jazz as well. If you have always wanted to be a better rock, pop, country, jazz, gospel or R&B singer, Brampton School of Music has the right voice teachers for you.

Our Brampton vocal students spend time in each lesson doing physical exercises to improve their vocal range, ear training, breath control, vibrato, tone production, enunciation and more. All voice students set goals with their teacher to work on sounding like their favourite recording artists, or if they prefer, to develop their own unique voice.

Violin Lessons at the Brampton School of Music
VIOLIN LESSONS (5+)

Brampton School of Music offers private one-on one violin lessons.  Students of all ages can follow the Royal Conservatory of Music program, Suzuki repertoire, or even learn their favorite pop songs on the violin!  Core music principles are emphasized through solid violin programs, starting with the fundamentals – learning the different parts of the violin, proper finger placement and bow hold.

UKULELE LESSONS

Ukulele lessons at the Brampton School of Music. The ukulele is a great instrument to start on!  There are many different musical styles you can learn and our ukulele teachers will guide you through the skills of reading music, playing by ear, and music theory.

Piano, guitar, singing, violin, ukulele, and drum lesson students of all ages and levels are encouraged to perform. Music recitals are always optional. All profits from our music recitals go to local charities.

Everything you need to know before booking your first lesson at Brampton School of Music.

We offer private lessons in piano, guitar (acoustic & electric), voice/singing, violin, ukulele, and drums — for children, teens, and adults of all levels at our location at 9886 Torbram Rd, Suite 210, Brampton.
Piano lessons can begin as early as age 4, using a specially designed preschool program for younger children. Voice and singing lessons start at age 7. We welcome students of all ages from young children right through to adults.
Absolutely. We welcome adult beginners and experienced players of all ages. It is never too late to learn an instrument. Our teachers create a relaxed, encouraging environment where you will never feel judged.
We teach all styles — pop, rock, jazz, classical, country, blues, metal, funk, gospel, and R&B. Because all lessons are private and one-on-one, you get to learn the music you actually love.
Yes! Both in-person and online lessons are available to fit your schedule and preference. Contact us and we will find the option that works best for your family.
Lessons are $38 for 30 minutes or $76 for 60 minutes (recommended for more advanced students), plus a one-time $25 registration fee. Music lessons are HST exempt. There are no annual fees, performance fees, or semester minimums.
No — all lessons are month-to-month with no contracts, no semester lock-ins, and no large upfront payments. Sign up is easy and parent-friendly.
We offer a Love Your Lessons Guarantee: if you are not completely happy within the first 30 days, we will help you find a better teacher fit — or refund your remaining unused lessons.
Yes! Our staff is available 7 days a week by phone, email, text, or Facebook Messenger to answer your questions and help you get started.

Yes — we hold at least two optional recitals every year. Recitals are free for students and families with no participation fees or tickets to purchase. We ask attendees to bring a cash donation for Knights Table Food Bank, a local charity we are proud to support.
The Musical Ladder System® is our exclusive goal-setting program that keeps students motivated through achievement awards and certificates tied to personal musical milestones. It is available only at Brampton School of Music.
