Brampton Music Lessons Update July 2022

Hello there! My name is James, and I’m the Director for the Brampton School of Music as well as the Academy of Music in Oakville, Burlington, and Georgetown Ontario and I’m here with a quick video update. I have a lot to talk about today and so I’m going to try and keep it under five minutes for you and I’ll do my very best.

We’ll start off with the recitals on August 7th in Oakville and August 14th in Georgetown. We’re going to host an outdoor recital and student appreciation day. Basically, we’re just going to have the regular recitals. We’ll have a tent set up and all the equipment needed to sound great. Our students will come and perform one after each other and then while that’s happening, we will have a bouncy castle and some water games as well. I will be there on hand to cook hamburgers and hot dogs and veggie burgers for those who would like that. The barbecue of course, and the entire event is free of charge, so we encourage you to talk to the office and sign up for the recital. If you don’t play at the recital, we still would love for you to join us that day for a hamburger and some lunch and to chat with your fellow families and and staff.

Readers choice awards.
We have now been nominated for the “best music lessons” at our Oakville location. We’re quite excited about that. We will send out an email asking if you would take a moment for to vote for us. We have won the readers choice award for the last seven years and we would love to do that again.

I’d like to take a moment as well to welcome all the new students that started since our last video update. We are welcoming 106 new students. Summer has been wonderful a lot of people are choosing to take lessons in the summer and then they will of course, continue on after the summer into the fall. So, welcome to all of our new students. It’s great to have you here. We appreciate you!
The referral draw in this newsletter.

There is also a referral draw this works like this. When a family refers another family, and that family registers a student we give each family, the referring, and the referees a $25 Amazon gift card but we also enter you into the prize draw. We also enter all of the Practice Challenge children into that as well. The practice challenge program if you recall, every day a student practices their parents sign off on it. If they complete the entire 150 days within six months, they also get entered into the draw and they receive a metal and really cool buttons as well. That draw I believe is going to be in this newsletter and it’s a draw for a $500 Amazon gift card to use for whatever you choose. We were going to give away Canada’s Wonderland season passes however we’re already going into August and i didn’t feel that you would get enough value out of the season pass this late into the season so we’ve decided just to give a $500 amazon gift card. Nope sorry, not Amazon, a Visa gift card so that you can choose to use it on anything you want to. So, keep those referrals coming. We truly appreciate it!
The last thing on the agenda is we’re super excited about our Brampton studio. On August 1st will be launching the Musical Ladder System. Now, that has been running for many years at our other locations and now our Brampton students are going to be able to start climbing the Musical Ladder as well. You may notice some posters on the wall and the trophies are there. Your teachers and your office staff will have information as well. We’re all very excited about the Musical Ladder System being launched in our Brampton location!
I think that’s about it for now so thank you so much for listening and I hope you’re enjoying your lessons.
Have a wonderful summer we’ll talk to you in August!

Take care, bye for now.
